Archie 'nd Amie

Well as it is a brilliant evening in Cornwall and I had the camera out there is just the time to catch up with last years foals Archie and Amie both by Danilon, and of course, Amie is a full sister to Magic and that is the end to the picture overload of the Danny babes!

Lizzie the foal magnet

We've just brought dear old Lizzie in at night as she was looking a bit harassed as Frank Spencer might say and wasn't quite herself. As chief brood mare, herd responsibilities were weighing on her and Belle was making quietly determined bid for leadership now she was unencumbered by a foal. And so Lizzie transferred to the grazing at the back of the farm with Diva. Well within a day, all three foals were obediently pottering along behind Lizzie who seems to be a Pied Piper for foals or at least an earth mother!

Trying to capture a photo of the elusive Sophie was not easy stalking her this way and that across the field as she hid behind Toffee but eventually we succeeded...............although she took revenge by drooping slightly for the camera!

Interestingly Toffee is by Lenard the same sire as Lizzie - he adores her and follows her everywhere

Sophie - coat pending

It's a kind of magic

OK so I know the photos all look very similar but if you had stripe like that you'd think it was a ind o magic too............just can't resist a Queen song. I wanted to record his coat markings, because alas magic tigers grow older and with it new coats and Magic has opted for a sort of grey serge effect but just for a short while he has been the magic tiger of Ednovean Farm!

Magic by Danilon out of Divers Perk (or Diva)

WE have planned a rest winter for Diva now after three foals in a row but as magic is only about six weeks old she will have a full time job for a while yet.

What a cracker

We went to visit Val today and catch up with Dandy, a colt foal by Danilon out of Daisy (Shaab) and what a cracker he is turning into! Huge and "doing like a trout" as they say in Cornwall. The pics don't really show how much bone and size this chap has got but I think he is going to be very special - a real cracker!
